Who we are
SUSAN FRANK, PRESIDENT: Suma Landscaping was founded in 1977 by Susan Frank. Susan is a professional landscaper and considers herself a creative landscape designer in many respects. She holds a degree in Ornamental Horticulture as well as a C-27 Landscaping Contractors License and a qualified pest control license with emphasis on Integrated Pest Management. A native of Miami, she now lives in Marin County after having been in the East Bay for many years. Susan is also a Sensei (teacher) in Karate-do, and is a patient volunteer for Hospice by the Bay.
EUGÈNE SPOOR, VICE PRESIDENT: Eugène Spoor personally oversees all aspects of landscaping and has been in the landscape industry for over 20 years. Eugène manages Suma Landscaping's day-to-day operations including the landscape design and construction divisions. Eugène is originally from The Hague in The Netherlands and holds a Landscaping Contractors License and QAC-B Pesticide License. He is also certified by California Polytechnic StateUniversity as an Irrigation Auditor.
DEBBIE BREZNIKAR, CFO: Debbie Breznikar oversees all aspects related to financial matters, insurance, and human resources as well as being a large contributor to the organizational structure of Suma Landscaping.
ANNA COHEN, ACCOUNT MANAGER: Anna Cohen began her relationship with Suma Landscaping as a client when Suma provided landscape construction and maintenance for her home many years ago. She subsequently began working with Suma Landscaping in the capacity of Office Manager and later moved into managing our maintenance division. Anna was able to expand the relationships she had built with our clients over the years into the field where she's been able to give true "hands on" care. Anna is also a Bay-Friendly Qualified Professional.
JANET PETERSON, OFFICE MANAGER: Janet Peterson (aka JP) acts as liaison betweenour landscaping and gardenmaintenance divisions and our customers.Customer satisfaction has always been extremely important to us and Janet's 20 years of experience in Customer Service / Saleswith FedEx have helped her run the office with the efficiency necessary to give the dependable landscaping services Suma Landscaping prides itself on.
ANA GOODE, COORDINATOR: Ana is our newest addition to Suma and a past client as well; Suma landscaped her family business of Ron Goode Toyota. Originally from Costa Rica, Ana now resides in Alameda. Her job at Suma is to handle all aspects of A/P and A/R and to be a liaison between all of the departments, as well as between Suma and it's vendors and clients.
